IEEE Northern Virginia and Washington Sections Picnic

October 8 @ 12:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Please join your IEEE colleagues to socialize, network and enjoy the Fall weather. This picnic is a special opportunity for anyone interested in getting actively involved with the Sections, Technical Chapters and Affinity Groups. Experienced volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions you might have on volunteering for IEEE.
This is also an opportunity to celebrate IEEE Day 2022! IEEE Day celebrates the first time in history when electrical engineers gathered to share their technical ideas in 1884. As part of the landmark International Electrical Exhibition organized by the Franklin Institute and held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1884, the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, a predecessor of IEEE, held its first conference on 7-8 October 1884. This meeting was the first formal technical conference on electrical engineering held in the United States.
Family and friends are welcome. The pool will be closed but the club house is available. Feel free to bring a side dish.
