Inauguration & Oath Taking Ceremony: IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), BIT Durg

The IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) Student Chapter at BIT Durg was formally inaugurated on 7th October 2025, marking a proud and transformative milestone for the institution’s IEEE community. The ceremony was organized as part of the IEEE Student Branch Congress 2025, in alignment with the global celebration of IEEE Day, a day dedicated to innovation, technology, and advancing solutions for humanity.

The event began with an engaging introduction to the vision and mission of IEEE RAS, highlighting its focus on robotics, automation, and intelligent control systems. Faculty mentors, IEEE members, and student participants witnessed the official unveiling of the chapter, signifying a significant expansion of BIT Durg’s technical initiatives and research opportunities.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the oath-taking of the newly appointed RAS office bearers, who pledged to uphold IEEE’s values of leadership, innovation, and technological excellence. The inauguration concluded with motivating remarks from faculty advisors and senior members, inspiring the RAS team to foster a collaborative, research-driven, and inclusive robotics community at BIT Durg.
