MATLAB – Based Modeling and Simulation Workshop on Renewable Energy Applications

The IEEE VCE Student Branch – PES & PELS Chapters and  Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Vardhaman College of Engineering, is organizing a six-day hands-on workshop on MATLAB-Based Modeling and Simulation Workshop on Renewable Energy Applications from 13th to 18th October 2025.

The workshop aims to provide participants with practical exposure to MATLAB and Simulink tools for modeling, analysis, and simulation of renewable energy systems such as solar PV, wind, and hybrid energy systems. Through expert-led sessions and guided hands-on practice, students will gain valuable insights into power electronic converters, system integration, and control strategies used in renewable energy technologies.

Sessions will be handled by experienced faculty members and domain experts, including

  • Dr. Kalyan Dusarlapudi, Assistant Professor, ELGE Dept, KLEF Vaddeswaram

  • Dr. K. Murga Perumal, Associate Professor, EEE Dept, Vardhaman College of Engineering

  • Dr. B. Praveen Kumar, Associate Professor, EEE Dept, Vardhaman College of Engineering

The workshop will conclude with project work and presentations, allowing participants to demonstrate their understanding through MATLAB-based renewable energy simulations.

This event is open to all B.Tech students from the EEE department and serves as part of the IEEE Day 2025 technical celebrations at Vardhaman College of Engineering.
