IEEEXTREME18.0 infosession

The IEEE CS ENIS SBC, in collaboration with IEEE ENIS SB, recently held an engaging information session for IEEEXtreme 18.0. This session, led by our IEEE ENIS SB Xtreme Ambassador Ahmed Rebai, aimed to introduce new members to the IEEEXtreme competition the annual, global, 24-hour programming challenge that pushes participants to their limits in problem-solving, coding, and teamwork.

During this session, Ahmed Rebai explained the competition’s format, the various coding challenges it includes, and highlighted the unique benefits of participating. Beyond enhancing technical skills, IEEEXtreme offers a platform for members to connect with the global IEEE community, fostering a sense of belonging and unity across borders. This session also emphasized the importance of developing problem-solving abilities under pressure an essential skill in real-world engineering and technology roles.

New members not only gained a clearer understanding of the competition’s objectives and rewards, but they also felt encouraged and motivated to take part. By focusing on the value of IEEEXtreme and the various international events offered by IEEE, we aimed to seamlessly integrate these new members into our community. This experience helped them see the broader scope of IEEE and provided an inspiring glimpse into the opportunities that come with active membership. This session has better prepared and inspired our new members, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence needed to embark on their IEEEXtreme journey.
