Vision Quest Ideathon

The IEEE BNMIT Student Branch Chapter, SPS, organized an exciting event titled “Vision Quest Ideathon” as part of IEEE Week. This ideathon provided a platform for students to showcase innovative solutions and collaborate on impactful ideas in healthcare and biomedical applications, sustainability and green technology, and cybersecurity. The event aimed to foster creativity and critical thinking among participants, encouraging them to address pressing real-world challenges.

The program began with an introductory address by Maaz Hussain, Chair of the IEEE SPS BNMIT chapter, setting an enthusiastic tone for the day. The judging panel, led by Asst. Prof. Kiran KN from the ECE department, offered thoughtful insights into the projects presented. Adding to the expertise, Dr. Jyothi R Munavalli, faculty advisor for the chapter, also provided valuable feedback, enriching the participants’ understanding and inspiring further refinement of their ideas.

Five teams showcased their inventive projects, each presenting unique and well-developed solutions. Here is an overview of the participating teams and their members:

  • Team Visionary Duo: Priya P Kothalkar, Puha Ayman
  • Team MediTag: Akshaya R, Esha Balaji
  • Team Naturals: Siri DS, Prabhan Pandey
  • Team Evoton: Kaveendra Joshi, Nitin J. Gowda

Each team presented solutions with broad applications across their respective fields, demonstrating impressive technical and creative abilities. Team CodeX introduced a fresh approach to addressing industry challenges, while Team Visionary Duo focused on innovative problem-solving techniques. Team MediTag impressed the judges with a practical solution aimed at real-world applications, and Team Naturals proposed a project centered on bridging education and sustainability. Team Evoton showcased a unique angle in enhancing sustainable solutions.

Following the presentations, the winners were announced. Team MediTag took first place, recognized for their impactful and technically sound project, while Team Naturals earned second place for their unique approach to green technology. Both teams demonstrated exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong grasp of the ideathon’s themes.

The event concluded with an award ceremony, celebrating the creativity and technical expertise of all participants. The Vision Quest Ideathon highlighted the innovative potential within the IEEE BNMIT community, marking a memorable chapter in the IEEE Week celebrations.
