IEEE DAY EVENT – III: Coordinated State Estimation of Power Transmission and Distribution Systems

The IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter at IIT Kanpur was honoured to host a highly insightful technical talk by Mr Neeraj Kumar Sharma on October 13, 2025 (17:00 to 18:00). The session delved into the critical and evolving topic of “Coordinated State Estimation of Power Transmission and Distribution Systems.”

The session provided a detailed understanding of state estimation in both balanced and unbalanced transmission and distribution systems, emphasizing the importance of coordinated estimation for enhanced accuracy, reliability, and observability in modern power networks.
