KSSEM IEEE Student Branch : IEEE DAY 2025 CELEBRATIONS: Technical talk on Microwave Photonic Technology

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with IEEE KSSEM Student Branch organized a specialized technical talk on “Microwave Photonic Technology” on 8th October 2025. The session aimed to introduce students to the cutting-edge integration of microwave engineering and photonics, with a focus on its applications in high-speed communication and radar systems.

Dr. Meena D, Scientist at LRDE, DRDO, served as the keynote speaker. She delivered a comprehensive presentation covering the fundamental principles, operational mechanisms, and significant applications of microwave photonics. The presentation was enriched with detailed diagrams and illustrative images, helping participants grasp complex concepts effectively.
