Big Hero 6 : AI Bootcamp

The “Big Hero 6” bootcamp was designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and deep learning, led by expert instructor Miss Taima Yahyaoui. The 3-day program was conducted online via Google Meet, with sessions held each day at 8 PM.

Key Highlights of the Bootcamp:

  1. Day 1: Introduction to AI & ML

    • Overview of AI and its applications in various industries.
    • Key concepts of machine learning, including supervised and unsupervised learning.
    • Introduction to popular ML algorithms like decision trees, k-nearest neighbors (KNN), and linear regression.
    • Participants were introduced to Python libraries such as NumPy, pandas, and scikit-learn for implementing basic ML models.
  2. Day 2: Deep Learning Basics

    • Focus shifted to deep learning, starting with an explanation of neural networks.
    • Introduction to key concepts like layers, activation functions, and backpropagation.
    • Overview of popular deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
    • A hands-on demo showcasing how to build and train a simple neural network using a framework.
  3. Day 3: Practical Applications & Project-Based Learning

    • Participants were guided through practical applications of AI and ML, such as image recognition, natural language processing, and predictive analytics.
    • Collaborative project: Attendees worked on implementing a small project, applying concepts learned during the bootcamp.
    • Q&A session with Miss Taima Yahyaoui, where participants could ask questions, clarify concepts, and discuss advanced topics in AI and ML.

Throughout the bootcamp, there was a strong emphasis on hands-on learning, with coding exercises and real-world case studies. Miss Yahyaoui’s guidance made complex topics approachable, encouraging participants to delve into the world of AI and ML.
