COLLABORATIVE LEARNING PLATFORM WITH PEER-CHATBOTS: EMPOWERING TEACHERS AND ENRICHING STUDENTS’ EXPERIENCE

Despite major breakthroughs in chatbot and virtual assistant technology, the use of chatbots in education is still insubstantial. In my talk, based on my thesis, I will delve into chatbot technology’s under-explored potential in education: What are educational chatbots’ advantages and limitations? What pedagogical approaches emphasize their capabilities and help overcome their shortcomings? What are the best scenarios for their integration into a digital educational platform? To explore answers to these questions, I will present a prototype of a crowd-learning platform with integrated peer-chatbots that has a potential to contribute to a more successful educational process.
