IEEE DAY 2024 CELEBRATIONS REPORT

Event Summary:
The IEEE Day 2024 celebrations were successfully conducted on October 9, 2024, at RGMCET. The event was organized by the IEEE RGMCET Student Branch and featured a series of engaging activities to highlight the importance of IEEE and foster a sense of community among members.

Schedule of Events:

  1. Inaugural Ceremony (10:00 AM – 10:30 AM)
    The day began with an inaugural ceremony, where Dr. D.V. Ashok Kumar, Director of RGM Group of Institutes and Vice Chair of IEEE Anantapur Sub-Section, lit the ceremonial lamp. Dr.
  2. Ashok Kumar delivered an inspiring address, recognizing the achievements of the Student Branch Volunteers and their contributions to IEEE initiatives. The ceremony concluded with a cake-cutting celebration, joined by IEEE volunteers.
  3. Seminar on IEEE Membership (10:30 AM – 11:00 AM)
    Dr. V. Narasimhulu, the Branch Counselor, delivered a talk on “The Importance of Being an IEEE Member and IEEE Membership,” emphasizing the benefits and opportunities available to IEEE members.
  4. Short Break (11:00 AM – 11:30 AM)
    A refreshment break was provided for the participants to network and relax.
  5. Ice-Breaking Session – Balloon Game & Fun Activities (11:30 AM – 1:00 PM)
    The Ice-Breaking Session was led by Chaitanya Goud Ediga, Chair of IEEE RGMCET STB. Participants enthusiastically engaged in the Balloon Game, fostering team spirit and camaraderie.
  6. Lunch Break (1:00 PM – 2:00 PM)
  7. Cultural Activities (2:00 PM – 3:30 PM)
    The afternoon was filled with vibrant cultural performances, showcasing the diverse talents of IEEE members.
  8. Valedictory Session (3:30 PM – 4:00 PM)
    The event concluded with a Valedictory Session, including prize distribution to winners from various societies. The celebration ended on a joyful note, with participants expressing happiness and satisfaction.
