IEEE Day 2025

The IEEE Student Branch at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences – Shinas is proud to organize IEEE Day 2025, a celebration of innovation, creativity, and collaboration under the theme “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow.”

This special event will feature a series of four interactive workshops and a university-level competition, designed to inspire both school and university students to explore the world of science, technology, and engineering.

The event will include:

• Robot Racing Competition – An exciting challenge where university students from UTAS–Shinas will design, build, and race their own robots, showcasing creativity, teamwork, and engineering skills.

• Workshop on Arduino – A hands-on session introducing participants to the fundamentals of Arduino programming and electronics, encouraging them to create their first smart projects.

• Renewable Energy Demo – A practical demonstration highlighting the importance of sustainable energy sources and innovative technologies for a greener future.

• Session on AI and Jobs: Is it a Threat or an Opportunity? – An engaging discussion exploring the impact of Artificial Intelligence on future careers and the balance between automation and human potential.

• Session on Recycling Waste Materials in Construction – A learning session emphasizing eco-friendly engineering solutions and sustainable construction practices.

The event aims to inspire innovation, promote engineering education, and foster collaboration between students and the community, aligning with IEEE’s mission of advancing technology for humanity.
