IEEE Day 2025 Celebration – Advancing Technology for Humanity
Introduction
IEEE Day commemorates the first global gathering of engineers, held in 1884, to share technical ideas. The IEEE GCUF Student Branch celebrated this occasion to honor innovation, collaboration, and technology for the benefit of humanity, uniting students, faculty, and IEEE volunteers.
Objectives
The event aimed to celebrate IEEE’s legacy, promote student engagement, highlight the value of IEEE membership, and foster interaction among students, faculty, and professionals.
Event Highlights
The celebration began with the Holy Quran recitation and the National Anthem, followed by several engaging activities:
• Recitation with Translation: Hafiz Muhammad Rehan and Ms. Mubashara
• Opening Remarks: Ms. Nimra Shahid emphasized IEEE’s vision and global impact.
• Technical Talk: Dr. Uzma Jamil spoke on “Advancing Technology for Humanity,” highlighting the role of IEEE for students, professionals and others and explained the benefits of IEEE.
• Quiz Competition: Students enthusiastically participated in an IEEE-themed quiz, with winners receiving souvenirs.
• Cake Cutting & Interactive Session: Marked unity and shared plans for IEEE initiatives.
• Group Photo: Captured the memorable moments.
