IEEE Day Celebration

On October 1, 2024, SVERI’s College of Engineering, Pandharpur, celebrated IEEE Day with great enthusiasm, showcasing the importance of IEEE and its contributions to engineering and technology students. Organized by the Electronics & Telecommunication (E&TC) branch, the event aimed to foster awareness of IEEE membership benefits and the impactful role of the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) chapter.

The day began with an engaging session by Dr. Mahesh Mathpati, who shared insights into IEEE membership and the extensive professional advantages it offers. Dr. Mathpati highlighted the unique resources and networking opportunities available to IEEE members, encouraging students to actively participate in IEEE activities to expand their learning and career prospects.

Ms. Smita Gawade took the stage to increase awareness about the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) chapter. She emphasized the chapter’s mission to support and inspire women in the engineering field and discussed various opportunities available through WIE for women students at SVERI’s COE. Ms. Gawade encouraged female students to get involved in IEEE Women, sharing how the chapter provides a platform for mentorship, collaboration, and leadership development.

In addition to these insightful talks, the event featured the introduction of the new IEEE team for the 2024-25 academic year, dedicated to continuing the branch’s legacy of innovation and excellence:
