RoboTrail 2.0

RoboTrail 2.0, organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with the IEEE Student Branch of HKBK College of Engineering, is a dynamic and engaging robotics competition that provides students with a hands-on learning platform in automation and control systems. The event, held on 13 October 2025 at 1:30 PM, aims to challenge participants to design, build, and program line-following robots capable of autonomously navigating a complex path with precision and speed. It emphasizes team-based innovation, technical creativity, and practical implementation of mechatronic principles. The challenge is structured in two stages—qualifying and advanced rounds—where teams must demonstrate sensor integration, path optimization, and intelligent control logic.
Participants gain exposure to robotics hardware, embedded systems, and programming logic while competing in a live competition arena. By integrating mechanical design with electronic sensing and computational algorithms, RoboTrail 2.0 fosters interdisciplinary learning and teamwork. The event serves as an ideal platform for aspiring engineers to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world automation challenges, encouraging innovation, problem-solving, and future-ready skills in robotics and artificial intelligence.
