CodeFusion: Hack&Crack

CodeFusion 2024, organized by the IEEE Student Branch PESU Electronic City
Campus, was held as a 24-hour event featuring both a hackathon and a Capture
The-Flag (CTF) competition. The event took place at the MRD Student Centre
of PES University Electronic City Campus, offering participants a unique
opportunity to test their skills in both creative project development and
cybersecurity problem-solving.
The event was structured with alternating hours dedicated to the hackathon and
the CTF competition. During the hackathon sessions, participants worked on
innovative projects, while the CTF rounds challenged them to solve security
related problems by identifying vulnerabilities and overcoming technical
barriers. This dynamic structure allowed participants to engage in both creative
coding and cybersecurity challenges, keeping them constantly on their toes.
Students from various branches and years participated, creating an inclusive
environment where both beginners and advanced participants could contribute
and learn. The alternating nature of the event provided a balanced mix of
creativity and technical depth, making it an engaging and enriching experience
for all involved.
A total of 377 enthusiastic participants, along with 20+ dedicated volunteers
and  6 organizing core members, contributed to the success of CodeFusion
2024. The  event was overseen by our esteemed branch coordinator, Dr.
Sarasvathi V.
All participants were provided with dinner, midnight snacks, breakfast,
refreshments, and lunch, ensuring they remained energized throughout the
event. The event witnessed participants from both EC and RR campuses,
who  expressed their gratitude for the learning experience and the
opportunity to  showcase their talents. CodeFusion 2024 was hailed as a
great success, leaving lasting impact on all involved.
