Description
On 4th October 2024, the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter at the College of Engineering Kidangoor, in collaboration with the IEEE Computer Society Kerala Chapter, hosted a virtual Membership Development Session titled CSpire: Inspiring Connections, Elevating Potential via Google Meet.
The session featured Ms. Jyothika Nithin, Community Growth Executive at Khyaal and Malabar Hub Coordinator for IEEE CS SYP Kerala Chapter, who presented a detailed overview of the IEEE Computer Society. She highlighted its mission to advance technology for humanity and shared insights into exclusive member benefits, including access to publications, digital libraries, and professional growth opportunities through events like webinars, conferences, and workshops.
The session also emphasized networking within the IEEE community, encouraging participants to connect with industry professionals and peers through events such as IEEE Xtreme. Ms. Jyothika discussed scholarships and awards available to members, such as the Richard E. Merwin Scholarship, which recognizes outstanding contributions.
The event successfully informed participants about the resources and opportunities provided by the society, leaving them motivated to explore and utilize these benefits for career development.
