Empowering Innovation Through IEEE: Opportunities for Students

  • In alignment with the spirit of IEEE Day 2025, the IEEE Karunya Student Branch (STB31061) organized the “Open Recruitment 2025” initiative to enhance awareness of IEEE’s professional and academic opportunities and to foster leadership within the student community. The program commenced with a Dean’s Awareness Seminar titled “Empowering Innovation through IEEE”, followed by a structured three-stage selection process: Group Discussion, Scenario Round, and Panel Interview.

The Awareness Seminar, graced by Dr. D. Nirmal (Dean, School of Engineering and Technology), emphasized the significance of IEEE membership in advancing innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and career development. The subsequent recruitment rounds evaluated participants through communication, analytical thinking, ethical reasoning, and problem-solving metrics, thereby identifying students with potential for technical and leadership roles in the Student Branch.

The event exemplified IEEE’s mission to engage, inspire, and empower future engineers through meaningful participation and value-based learning. It also marked a successful IEEE Day celebration that reinforced professional growth, volunteerism, and the pursuit of technological excellence within the Karunya campus community.
