IEEE Day Celebration-Student Orientation

This annual event, celebrated on the first Tuesday of October, IEEE Day, honors the anniversary of the first time in history when engineers worldwide gathered to share their technical ideas in 1884. The theme, “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow,” served as the core inspiration for the orientation.

The primary objective was to smoothly integrate the new students into the college’s thriving IEEE community and introduce them to the vast opportunities available. The collaborative organization demonstrated the synergistic spirit of the IEEE ecosystem:

  • CCOEW IEEE Student Branch: The main organizing body, providing institutional leadership.

  • IEEE CIS Chapter (Computational Intelligence Society): Provided specialized content and insight into cutting-edge domains like AI and Machine Learning.

The session included comprehensive presentations on IEEE’s global mission and membership benefits, followed by an interactive quiz designed purely for fun and audience engagement, fostering enthusiasm for technology among the freshers.
