IEEE Day Celebration : TEXTBOOKS TO STARTUPS

On September 30, 2024, from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM, a session titled “Textbooks to Startups” was held at Karpagam College of Engineering. The resource person for the event was Dr. K. Senthil Kumar, Founder and CEO of Likan Clean Cell Innovations Private Limited, Karur. Dr. K. Senthil Kumar shared his inspiring entrepreneurial journey, detailing how he leveraged his academic background in engineering to build an innovative startup focused on sustainable and clean energy solutions.

 

He discussed the challenges he faced as a young entrepreneur, such as securing funding, overcoming technical obstacles, and navigating the competitive business environment. Dr. K. Senthil Kumar also highlighted the role of persistence, creativity, and strategic networking in transforming a technical idea into a successful business venture.

 

During the interactive session, he addressed student queries on entrepreneurship, providing practical advice on startup growth, innovation, and leadership. The session emphasized the importance of bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge gained in textbooks and its practical application in the business world.

 

Students left the session motivated, with a clearer understanding of how to channel their academic expertise into entrepreneurial ventures, encouraging them to think beyond traditional career paths.
