IEEE Day PES Quiz

The IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Kerala Chapter, in collaboration with the IEEE PES CCET, successfully organized the IEEE Day PES Quiz 2024 on November 17, 2024. The event was conducted as part of the IEEE Day celebrations, aiming to introduce first-year students to the IEEE community and its diverse opportunities through an engaging and interactive quiz competition.

The primary objective of the IEEE Day PES Quiz was to attract and encourage first-year students to explore IEEE and the Power and Energy Society. By conducting a well-structured quiz covering various domains, the event sought to foster curiosity and awareness among students about IEEE’s contributions to technology, energy, and innovation.

The quiz was designed to be engaging and covered a range of topics:
Power and Energy,
Science and Mathematics,
General Knowledge ,
IEEE History and Activities etc.

The quiz was conducted in a competitive and interactive format, ensuring enthusiastic participation from first-year students. The competition witnessed keen engagement, teamwork, and a spirit of learning. The IEEE Day PES Quiz 2024 successfully achieved its goal of encouraging first-year students to explore IEEE and its benefits. The event witnessed active participation from 29 students, sparking curiosity and interest in IEEE PES activities. 

The IEEE Day PES Quiz 2024 was a resounding success, serving as an excellent platform to introduce new students to IEEE while fostering a spirit of learning and collaboration. The event not only strengthened the IEEE community at CCET but also reinforced the importance of knowledge-sharing and professional growth.

At the end, appreciation was extended to the volunteers and coordinators who contributed to the smooth execution of the quiz.
After rigorous round of competition, the following students emerged as winners:

  1. Winner: Adithyan A Madav 
  2. First Runner-up: Vince Martin V B
  3. Second Runner-up: Kasinath

These winners have been selected to represent CCET at the State-Level PES Quiz Competition, where they will compete with students from other institutions.
