Inauguration of IEEE Society Chapters & Affinity Group and Celebration of IEEE Day 2025 with Anvesh 25 – Inter-Department Technical Paper Presentation

The IEEE Student Branch of Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Mangaluru, proudly celebrated IEEE Day 2025 with the inauguration of IEEE Society Chapters and the Affinity Group, followed by Anvesh 25 – an Inter-Department Technical Paper Presentation competition.

The newly inaugurated IEEE Society Chapters and Affinity Group include:

• IEEE Computer Society

• IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc)

• IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS)

• IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE)

The ceremony was graced by Dr. S. S. Injaganeri (Principal), Dr. Musthafa Basthikodi (HoD, CSE), Dr. Gurusiddayya Hiremath (IEEE Branch Counsellor), IEEE Student Chair Harshith Kumar (4th Year, CSE – AI & ML), IEEE Vice Chair Ananya K S (4th Year, CSE), along with HoDs, professors, IEEE Student Branch office bearers, Society Chairs, and members.

Following the inauguration, Anvesh 25 provided a vibrant platform for students to present their technical papers across five parallel tracks — CSE, AI, MERA, ISE, and ECE. The event highlighted innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence among students, aligning with IEEE’s mission of Advancing Technology for Humanity.
