INDUSTRIAL VISIT 4.O : Kerala Electrical & Allied Engg. Co.

The purpose of the visit was to provide Electrical and Electronics Engineering students with real-world exposure to manufacturing processes, electrical systems, and industrial operations related to power equipment. The visit aimed to: Enhance technical understanding of high-voltage equipment and electrical manufacturing workflows, Bridge academic learning with industry practices, Enable students to understand professional engineering standards in the power sector, Encourage practical learning, curiosity, and interest in IEEE PES activities.

Participation was open to all students interested in power systems, energy engineering, and industrial applications.

Payment covered industrial entry permissions, travel arrangements, and coordination charges.

Participants were introduced to: Electrical machine manufacturing process, Transformers assembly and testing facilities, Industrial safety standards, Machinery automation and testing equipment, Power distribution systems and large scale electrical infrastructure. Real-time demonstrations allowed participants to observe fabrication equipment and industrial workflows closely.

Over 47 participants attended. Students gained hands-on practical knowledge about electrical manufacturing. The event strengthened interest in PES related industrial technology and research. Improved networking between academia and industry experts.
