Price Impact Showdown

  • On September 30, 2024, the IEEE Ganpat University Student Branch (GUNI SB), in collaboration with Sciative Solutions, successfully hosted the Price Impact ShowDown at Room 209, Smart Class, New Engineering Building, UVPCE. This innovative event attracted a remarkable turnout, showcasing the talent and research capabilities of students from diverse disciplines, including MBA, BBA, BTech, and BSc. With 10+ teams participating, the competition created a vibrant atmosphere for learning and collaboration.

  • The event commenced at 2:30 PM with Opening Remarks delivered by Ms. Meha Bhatt, the Webmaster of WIE GUNI SB. In her address, she welcomed all participants and set an encouraging tone for the proceedings. Ms. Bhatt emphasised the critical role of understanding pricing strategies in today’s competitive business environment. She noted that pricing is not merely about numbers but is deeply tied to consumer behaviour and market dynamics. Her words inspired participants to approach their research with creativity and rigor, reminding them that the insights gained during this event could significantly influence their future careers in business and marketing.

  • Following her introduction, from 2:45 PM to 2:55 PM, Mr. Tirth Patel, the Chairperson of IEEE GUNI SB, took the stage to deliver a compelling Keynote on Business and Marketing Strategies. His speech captivated the audience as he discussed the evolving nature of pricing strategies in various industries. He illustrated his points with relevant case studies from sectors such as retail and e-commerce, showcasing successful companies that have adapted their pricing models to meet consumer needs.Mr. Patel encouraged participants to think critically and challenge conventional pricing norms, highlighting the importance of innovation in today’s marketplace. He concluded by motivating the teams to showcase their research passionately, reminding them that this was an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the ongoing discussions around pricing strategies. 

 

 

 

  • From 2:55 PM to 4:40 PM, the event transitioned to the Team Research Presentations, where the teams showcased their findings on pricing strategy analysis. Each team presented their research on diverse topics, including Dynamic Pricing in E-commerce, Psychological Pricing Tactics, and The Role of Discounts in Consumer Decision-Making. The presentations were not only informative but also interactive, as each team engaged the audience with thought-provoking questions and encouraged discussions on their findings.The judges, comprising industry experts and faculty members, provided valuable feedback during the Q&A sessions, fostering a collaborative learning environment. This segment of the event exemplified the participants’ hard work and dedication, highlighting their analytical skills and creativity in tackling real-world pricing challenges.

  • As the competition neared its conclusion, Ms. Meha Bhatt, Web Master of IEE GUNI SB WIE, took the stage to express her Acknowledgements and Gratitude from 4:40 PM to 5:00 PM. She commended all participants for their hard work, creativity, and the high quality of the research papers submitted. Ms. Dave highlighted how the event not only provided a platform for showcasing research but also fostered networking opportunities among students and industry professionals. She thanked Sciative Solutions for their invaluable partnership, which significantly enhanced the event’s credibility and reach.   • The event concluded at 5:00 PM with heartfelt farewells and the announcement of the winners. Sciative Solutions awarded certificates to the top three teams, recognizing their outstanding presentations and research efforts. The winning participants were also granted the unique opportunity to have their research papers published on the Sciative Solutions website, providing them with significant industry recognition and exposure.
