Social Gathering: IEEE DAY UdeC

IEEE Day 2025 was a landmark celebration at the University of Concepción (UdeC), organized through a strategic collaboration between the IEEE Student Branch and its Technical Chapters. The event was designed as a vibrant social gathering aimed at fostering shared experiences among current members, volunteers, and potential recruits, while providing a formal platform for each chapter to showcase their recent achievements and operational roadmaps.

A core component of the event was a dedicated session where each technical chapter presented their past milestones and their strategic vision for 2026. This “showcase” allowed for multilateral feedback and ensured that our long-term goals were aligned across the entire branch. For each chapter, this was a pivotal moment to consolidate their leadership, resulting in a significant reinforcement of their volunteer base and attracting a high volume of new students interested in the ieee and it’s societies.

Beyond the technical presentations, the event prioritized the “human” element of the organization. We curated an inclusive atmosphere featuring:

  • Interactive Games and Icebreakers: Designed to bridge the gap between different engineering disciplines.

  • Catering and Social Refreshments: Providing a space for informal dialogue and networking.
