Technorax V11.0- Bidding Wars
IEEE PES ADGIPS Student Branch organized Bidding Wars 2025 — an exciting and strategic cricket-themed event designed to test students’ knowledge, enthusiasm, and team spirit. The event aimed to bring together cricket lovers and strategic thinkers to experience the thrill of an IPL-style auction while showcasing teamwork and analytical decision-making.
The event comprised two engaging rounds, both conducted with great zeal and participation from the students.
ROUND 1: IPL TRIVIA QUIZ
The first round was a fun and competitive IPL-themed quiz that tested participants on their knowledge of cricket, player statistics, and historic IPL moments.
A total of 21 registered teams participated in this round, out of which 10 teams qualified for the final round based on their scores.
ROUND 2: THE LIVE IPL AUCTION
In the final round, a live IPL auction replica was conducted, recreating the thrill of real-time team building. The qualified teams stepped into the shoes of franchise owners, strategizing their bids to form the most balanced and powerful playing eleven. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and energy as participants competed smartly to outbid each other and craft their dream IPL teams.
RESULTS:
Based on the pre-rating system and total points accumulated:
🥇 Winner: Team Omega (DC)
🥈 Runner-up: Team Auction X11 (RCB)
Both teams displayed excellent coordination, game awareness, and strategic insight throughout the competition.
