IEEE Day Celebration
IEEE Student Branch NMIT along with Dept. of ECE Techno Cultural forum had organized Talk on “IEEE Day Celebration” on 11th October 2023 at 11:30 AM in R&D Lab, Block B, NMIT.
The Inauguration was graced by Dr. Ramachandra A C, Professor & Head, Dept. of ECE,
Dr. Parameshachari B D, IEEE STB Counsellor and IEEE AESS Faculty Advisor, presented the welcome gathering. The Event was coordinated by Mr Pradeep kumar S, Chair, IEEE AESS, Dept. of ECE, NMIT and Dr. Manjula M Professor ECE NMIT.
Dr. H. C. Nagaraj, Principal, NMIT addressed the gathering and congratulated
Dr. Parameshachari B. D. for organizing IEEE Day. Also he told students to take IEEE Membership and Society membership to get benefits of IEEE Opportunities.
Dr. Ramachandra A C, Professor & Head, Dept. of ECE, highlighted the importance of being an IEEE Society Member. He wished the participants to be interactive with the resource person and to gain knowledge from the event.
Dr. Parameshachari B.D., led the session and he discussed the benefits of IEEE and listed the points as follows
Technical Workshops and Seminars: Many IEEE sections and student branches organize technical workshops, seminars, and lectures on cutting-edge technology topics. These events aim to educate and inspire participants about the latest developments in various fields of engineering and technology. Competitions and Hackathons: IEEE Day often features technical competitions, hackathons, and robotics competitions that challenge participants to apply their engineering skills and creativity to solve real-world problems.
There were more than 25 attendees from the UG Students and Faculty from all over Karnataka at NMIT. The attendees were grateful for organizing this IEEE Day and showing the importance of becoming an IEEE Member, Society Member and responsibilities held. The resource person answered all participants questions.
