LRT Talk on “Using Overleaf For Academia” A Hands-On Experience

The inaugural session featured a talk by Sathyanarayanan Seshasayanan, a doctoral student from IIT Kanpur. Held in the ACES 313, the event commenced at 5:00 PM on October 6th with around 23 attendees. The focal point of this engaging discussion was “Using Overleaf for Academia: A Hands-on Experience.” Sathyanarayanan shared invaluable insights and practical knowledge about utilizing Overleaf, a collaborative platform for scientific research and writing. He delved into the intricacies of Overleaf, showcasing its real-time collaborative features, LaTeX integration, and version control capabilities. Attendees had the opportunity to witness live demonstrations, understanding how Overleaf facilitates seamless teamwork, document versioning, and effortless integration of complex equations and graphics into academic papers. Through this session, participants gained a familiarity of Overleaf.
