On October 5th, 2023, the IEEE team at PACE hosted a noteworthy program at the PACE campus as part of IEEE Day celebration.
The highlight of the event was an online panel discussion held at 12:00 PM in the boardroom. The panel consisted of esteemed industry experts representing various companies. The focus of the discussion was on the crucial topic of academia and its collaboration with industry, particularly in curriculum design and delivery.
The session commenced with a heartfelt welcome extended to the distinguished panel members by the Principal of PA College of Engineering. Dr. Sharmila Kumari graciously welcomed the panel and also took the opportunity to introduce the Heads of Departments (HODs) and faculty members from various departments.
This event provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration between academia and the business world. “It was an engaging and insightful event that aimed to foster collaboration between academia and industry for the benefit of students and the workforce.
During the session, we reached out to industry experts seeking their valuable support in a range of subjects, including Object-oriented concepts using Java, Database management systems, Data structures and applications, Automata theory and compiler design, AI/ML, and Big data analytics. The aim was to foster a stronger connection between academia and industry, ensuring that our students receive the most up-to-date knowledge and practical insights in these key areas.”
