THE CLEANUP BLUEPRINT
On October 4, 2024, the IEEE Student Branch at Galgotias University organized The Cleanup Blueprint: Road Cleaning, a community service initiative to raise awareness about environmental sustainability and cleanliness. The event was conducted in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically promoting SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
During the event, both professional and student members of IEEE SB came together to clean the roads surrounding the university campus. Equipped with cleaning supplies, participants worked in teams to remove litter and debris from the streets, contributing to a cleaner and greener environment.
In addition to the cleaning efforts, participants also discussed the importance of environmental conservation, responsible waste management, and how individual actions can contribute to global climate initiatives. The collaboration between professional and student members fostered a shared sense of responsibility toward building a more sustainable community.
