WORKSHOP TASK FOR WIE ACT
Last Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 3 PM, our IEEE WIE ENIT SAG organized a comprehensive cybersecurity workshop for kids at “Maison des Jeunes Le Kram” in collaboration with IEEE ENIT SIGHT Group, IEEE WIE ISI SAG,IEEE ISI SIGHT Group, IEEE WIE ENSIT SAG, IEEE ENSIT SIGHT Group as part of the WIE ACT 3.0 tasks. The main goal of the workshop was to introduce children to the fundamentals of cybersecurity, emphasizing the potential threats they might encounter while browsing social media platforms. To ensure that the kids not only understood the risks but also knew how to protect themselves, we provided practical advice on staying safe online, such as creating strong passwords, recognizing suspicious links, and avoiding oversharing personal information.
In addition to the educational component, we designed engaging activities to make the learning process enjoyable and interactive. These included fun games like crossword puzzles centered around cybersecurity terms and an exciting escape room challenge, where the kids had to solve clues related to online threats in order to ‘escape.’ This hands-on approach helped reinforce the lessons in a memorable way.
The workshop was both informative and engaging, with officers from the three Student Branches playing an active role in ensuring its success. Their guidance contributed to the positive reception of the session
