Young Professionals Malaysia Meet-Up @ IEEE Day 2023
This two-day event aims to provide a vibrant platform for young professionals in the engineering and technology fields to connect, learn, and exchange ideas. The proposed event will take place on 14 October 2023 at Multimedia University, Cyberjaya, and IOI City Mall, Putrajaya and 24 October 2023 at the Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur.
This program is jointly organized by IEEE Malaysia Section, IEEE Multimedia University Student Branch, IEEE Malaysia Young Professionals Affinity Group, IEEE Electronics Packaging Society, IEEE Kuala Lumpur Subsection, IEEE Power Electronics Society Malaysia Chapter, and IEEE Malaysia Communication Society and Vehicular Technology Society Joint Chapter in conjunction with the IEEE Day 2023 and promises to be an enriching experience for all participants.
The Young Professionals Malaysia Meet-Up @ IEEE Day 2023 is designed to combine formal and informal activities to create a dynamic atmosphere that fosters professional growth and networking. The event will include the following activities:
1. Welcoming Remarks by IEEE Day 2023 Core Team (Communication Lead): The event will kick off with a warm welcome from the core team responsible for IEEE Day 2023, creating an atmosphere of excitement and camaraderie.
2. Opening Remarks by IEEE Malaysia Section Chair: The Section Chair will provide an inspiring introduction, highlighting the importance of the IEEE Young Professionals in supporting the career development of early-career professionals.
3. Young Professionals Malaysia Forum: A dedicated forum will facilitate open discussions on various topics relevant to young professionals, including career advancement, skill development, and opportunities within the IEEE community.
4. Membership Drive & Technical Society Booth: Booths will be set up to promote IEEE membership and provide information about different technical societies, encouraging young professionals to engage actively within their areas of interest.
5. Sharing Session by the Recipient of IEEE Electronics Packaging Society’s William Chen Distinguished Service Award 2023: An esteemed industry expert will share insights from their distinguished career, providing valuable guidance and motivation for young professionals.
6. Technical Talk on Integrating Sustainable Energy and Smart Agriculture: An expert speaker will deliver a technical talk on the integration of sustainable energy solutions with smart agriculture practices, emphasizing their potential to empower communities and promote environmental sustainability.
7. Bowling Tournament: An informal and fun-filled bowling tournament will offer participants an opportunity to unwind, connect, and network in a relaxed setting.
8. Meet the Leader Series – IEEE President and CEO: A distinguished session will offer participants the unique opportunity to interact with the IEEE President and CEO, gaining insights into the future direction of IEEE and the importance of young professionals within the organization.
